Who we are
Shoozas Studio is operated by BENDUO LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we," "us"). Shoozas® is a registered trademark of BENDUO LLC. We offer a mail-in cleaning service for sneakers and hats, currently available throughout the United States. This policy describes what we collect when you use the Shoozas Studio portal and how we handle it.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address, and the name, phone number, and shipping address you provide when placing an order.
- Order info: the services and items you select, plus any notes or special requirements you share with us.
- Photos of your items: our team photographs every pair on arrival and before return shipment, for quality assurance and support. These photos stay internal.
- Payment info: Stripe, our payment processor, handles card data directly. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or PAN — only a token and the last four digits.
- Device and usage data: standard server logs, IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to keep the site working and secure.
How we use it
- Fulfill and track your orders.
- Send you transactional updates by email and push notification (order placed, shipped, arrived, cleaning, delivered).
- Answer your messages through in-order chat and contact forms.
- Process payments and refunds.
- Improve the service — in aggregate, never by selling individual data to advertisers.
- Prevent fraud and abuse.
Who we share with
We work with a small number of vendors who process data on our behalf under strict contracts:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Shippo — shipping labels and carrier tracking (USPS).
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage for item photos.
- Vercel — web hosting and performance monitoring.
- Sentry — error monitoring (no personal data attached to error reports).
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect against fraud or harm.
How long we keep it
- Item photos — automatically deleted 12 months after delivery.
- Account info — until you ask us to delete it.
- Order and payment records — retained as required by US tax and accounting law (typically up to 7 years).
- Chat messages — retained for the lifetime of your account to help us support you across orders.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- See what data we have about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Opt out of non-essential email (transactional email related to your active orders cannot be turned off).
Email hello@shoozas.com with any request. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA and can make the same requests.
How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Payment details are tokenized by Stripe — they never touch our servers. Access to production systems is limited to authorized Shoozas staff and audited.
Children
Shoozas Studio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe we have, please contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you by email. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the new policy.
