What cleaning can and can't do
We want to be straight with you on this, especially if the pair you're gifting this for is in rough shape.
Cleaning removes dirt, surface stains, salt lines, grime, and odor. On most materials, including leather, mesh, suede, and nubuck, it makes a significant visible difference. We hand clean every pair. No machines on materials that would suffer for it.
What cleaning won't do: fix deep UV yellowing on aged midsoles, repair worn-through outsoles, or reverse physical damage to the upper. If the pair has structural issues, cleaning will make it look better but won't fix those things. We'll always be honest about what we find when the pair arrives.
